19th JULY 2021
AFTER  COVID RESTRICTIONS WERE LIFTED
BOTH COURTS ARE AVAILABLE AGAIN WITH NO RESTRICTIONS ON WAYS TO PLAY AND NUMBERS ON COURT.
THE COMMITTEE WILL RECONVENE SHORTLY TO TRY AND RELAUNCH SQUASH AT THE CENTRE.
WITH THE CENTRE MANAGEMENT FIXING THE NEW CLOSING TIME to MON-FRI AT 9.15pm
WE CAN NO LONGER FEASABLY HOST, AFTER 50 YEARS CONTINUOUS PARTICIPATION IN the ESSEX COUNTY LEAGUES.
we are hopeful of relocating at least 1 team to a nearby more welcoming club!
ANCIENT BOILERS HAVE FINALLY BROKEN DOWN COMPLETELY
So NO showers available till SEPTEMBER 2021 at the earliest!
this is a major and very costly issue (rumour is, it wil cost a 6 figure sum to put right)
We believe the management hoped that the boilers would last until the centre finally closes in a few years time.

IMPORTANT MEETING

WEDNESDAY 14th June 3.45pm Civic Offices, Epping

Critical Meeting Between Representatives of the Club, Essex Squash(ESRA) ENGLAND SQUASH & SPORT ENGLAND

and EFDC COUNCILLORS /PFPL.

The result of this meeting was already decided before we sat down, the intransigent Council/Councillors would not ammend the contract, so 2 courts wil go! Not until Oct 26th.

they are not a listening council only one of greed & cuts!

Juniors registered reaches the 40 mark

The juniors registered with the Club, now numbers 43 (as of Saturday 9th September) a record,

believed to be the 2nd highest for any club in the county!

well done to the Coaches (all unpaid)

WELL DONE to Gulam Faruque, who passed his Level 1 Coaching Badge and now takes his place among our regular Coaches

Who are around Saturday Mornings 10-12 and Wednesdays 4.30-5.30

MALDON  has lost 2 more courts! now only 3 left, where once 8 existed
SPRINGHEALTH LEISURE CENTRE CLOSES SUDDENLY
The club based in Chelmsford was closed on the 24th january, when administrators where called in, the company which had venues also in Hampstead, &  Heathrow, faced mounting debts. This has meant the loss of 4 squash courts, the courts were quite dilapidated, but nontheless, the county can ill afford to lose any at all.
